Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited (RJIL) is planning to reduce the prices of its Mi-Fi hotspot devices by 50 per cent. At present, these devices cost around Rs 3,000. With this, RJIL aims to expand the addressable 4G market in the country and incentivise the users to join its network.  The Mi-Fi hotspots will allow users to access data services  on their smartphones and tablets through RJIL?s 4G networks.

Meanwhile, RJIL has also partnered with smartphone manufacturers ZTE, Alcatel OneTouch, Huawei, CK Telecom and Intex for selling affordable 4G handsets across India under the company’s consumer electronics brand, ReConnect. RJIL is expected to launch its commercial 4G services in December 2015.
