
Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited (RJIL) has stated that it is entering into the final stages for the launch of 4G services and is rolling out physical office infrastructure across 880 cities and towns. It is also conducting extensive field tests in Navi Mumbai, Jamnagar and other locations for integration of devices with its network platform and services.
The company has also stated that it was allotted mobile switching centre code, mobile country code and mobile network code for mobile access services across all 22 circles by the Department of Telecommunication (DoT), thereby providing it with about 22 million mobile phone numbers.
RJIL is reportedly investing around Rs 700 billion for the launch of its 4G services. The company has either finalised or is in the process of finalising pacts with original equipment manufacturers, original design manufacturers and chipset vendors on end-to-end device design and engineering. Further, the company is putting in efforts to integrate these devices with its network infrastructure, platforms and applications portfolio to provide seamless experience to customers.
