Rio Mobile has launched three new affordable smartphones in the Indian market.

The handsets, named Rio London, Rio Paris, and Rio New York, are priced at Rs 3,399, Rs 4,399 and Rs 4,999.

The Rio London has a 4-inch WVGA (480×800 pixels) display, meanwhile the Rio Paris features a 4.5-inch FWVGA (480×854 pixels) IPS display. The Rio London packs a 1500mAh battery and the Rio Paris is backed by a 1700mAh battery.

Both the Rio London and Rio Paris smartphones share few common specifications. They are both powered by a 1.3GHz dual-core MediaTek (MT6572) processor coupled with 512 MB of RAM, 4 GB of inbuilt storage which is expandable up to 32 GB using a microSD card. The Rio London and Rio Paris sport a 5-megapixel rear camera with flash and a 2-megapixel front camera. For connectivity, both the devices support technologies such as 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, and Micro-USB.

The Rio New York is a phablet and features a 5-inch FWVGA (480×854 pixels) display. It is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek (MT6582) coupled with 512 MB of RAM, 4 GB of inbuilt storage which is expandable up to 32 GB using a microSD card. The Rio New York supports dual SIMcards and sports an 8-megapixel rear autofocus camera with LED flash while also including a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. It is backed by a 2000mAh battery and offers connectivity options including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, GPS/ A-GPS, and Micro-USB.
