RingCentral has won key regulatory approvals from the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) to offer compliant enterprise-grade cloud telephony in India.
The company is reportedly the first cloud unified communications vendor to have a licence and authorisation from the DoT to operate in India. The company has been actively working on building its domestic infrastructure in India after passing rigorous government inspections and security standards.
