Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) is firming up its telecom plans, say news reports.

The company is reportedly planning to provide high-end data offerings, along with establishing its own telecom towers and manufacturing its own mobile phones.

The company is looking at establishing over 1,00,000 towers for providing high-speed wireless internet access to consumers.

Also, no tie-ups are in store for the company in the short term. As per the news reports, RIL does not have any plans of buying tower company GTL or Reliance Commuications. Earlier it was looking at establishing an asset-light model using third-party passive infrastructure from these companies.
