According to Mukesh Ambani, chairman, Reliance Industries Limited (RIL), the joint venture (JV) between RIL, Brookfield Infrastructure and Digital Realty will set up a state-of-the-art data centre, that will be opened next week. 

During his address at the Tamil Nadu Global Investors Meet 2024 in Chennai, Ambani said that RIL has proudly partnered in Tamil Nadu’s growth over the years. He informed that Jio has invested over Rs 350 billion in Tamil Nadu, bringing the fruits of the digital revolution to 35 million subscribers in every town and village in the state. In December 2023, Jio completed the fastest rollout of 5G anywhere in the world. According to Ambani, this will enable Tamil Nadu to reap the benefits of artificial intelligence and other breakthrough fourth industrial revolution technologies, which will further accelerate its economy.

Further, Ambani informed that RIL has committed to making new investments in Tamil Nadu in renewable energy and green hydrogen. The company will work closely with the state government to promote sustainable development.
