Representatives of Jio Platforms Limited and Reliance Jio Infocomm have reportedly deposed before a parliamentary panel on the issue of data safety.
As part of the proceedings, the representatives of the company were asked if there is any data-sharing mechanism between the company and its investors Facebook and Google. Further, they were also questioned on the privacy of its subscribers’ data and the data of the users of Jio platforms.
The committee has said that the company executives were in favour of data protection and its localisation in India.
