According to a recent study by Fitch Ratings, Reliance Jio’s average revenue per user (ARPU) is expected to rise to Rs 147 in financial year (FY) 2021, from Rs 131 in the fourth quarter (Q4) of FY20.

The brokerage also expects an addition of around 30 million in Jio’s subscriber base during FY21 against 80 million additions in FY20.Further, Jio’s fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) business is also expected to start contributing to revenue and earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) in FY21, buoyed by strong demand for home broadband.

Further, the report added that Reliance Industries Limited’s (RIL) telecom business is expected to benefit from higher data and voice consumptions during the lockdown, and mitigate any impact of slower subscriber additions.
