According to recent Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) data, Reliance Jio topped the chart for 4G download speed in September 2021 with an average download speed of 20.9 Mbps. Meanwhile, Vodafone Idea (Vi) topped the chart for 4G upload speed at 7.2 Mbps.
The 4G network speed of Reliance Jio increased by about 15 per cent in September 2021, while those of Airtel and Vi increased by 85 and 60 per cent, respectively, during the same period.
Further, as per TRAI, there was an increase in 4G upload speeds among the three telecom private operators in September 2021.
During the period under consideration, Vi’s upload speed averaged at 7.2 Mbps, followed by Jio with an upload speed of 6.2 Mbps, followed by Airtel with an upload speed of 4.5 Mbps.
