Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited (RJIL) has awarded a three year-contract worth $10 million to Sweden-based telecom equipment manufacturer Ericsson. Under the deal, Ericsson will provide operations support systems (OSS) to RJIL, along with software solutions, reportedly comprising nine suites, including Catalog Manager, Granite Inventory and GIS-based Network Engineer solution. The deal is under the total cost of ownership model for three years after which annual maintenance contract model of services will be applicable.

Earlier, all the solutions to RJIL were provided by Telcordia, which was then acquired by Ericsson in 2012 to assist its OSS portfolio. RJIL has a diverse portfolio of vendors for facilitation of its OSS and business support systems (BSS) operations including HP, Cisco and IBM.
