Reliance Jio has successfully tested 5G services and data speeds in the Delhi licensed service area (LSA) on both the 26 GHz, millimetre wave (mmWave) and 3300 MHz spectrum bands.
On August 7 and 8, 2023, the Department of Telecommunications’ (DoT) Delhi service area wing conducted tests to ensure that the telco met its minimum rollout requirement (MRO). Similar tests were carried out in the Mumbai LSA following tests in Gujarat and Kolkata during the previous week.
Jio has completed the minimal 5G rollout commitments in the first year since acquiring spectrum in the July 2022 auctions and has submitted the necessary applications to the DoT.
