International bandwidth capacity to India is likely to be boosted with the Reliance Infocomm-owned Falcon cable landing point in Mumbai almost complete. The cable will immediately deliver 2.6 terabits per second bandwidth capacity to the west coast of the country. It is expected to be operational after it receives security clearance. Falcon is a 10,000 km undersea cable project that will connect the Asian region to FLAG’s 50,000 km network. It will pass through Egypt, the Gulf, India as well as Hong Kong.
