Speaking at the Andhra Pradesh Global Investors Summit, Mukesh Ambani, chairman and managing director of Reliance Industries Limited, announced that the company intends to invest Rs 400 billion for rollout of ultra-high speed 5G telephony network in the state.

Meanwhile, Reliance Jio, telecom arm of Reliance Industries Limited, is rolling out its 5G network across the country. As per Ambani, Jio’s 4G network covers 98 per cent of Andhra Pradesh’s population, including those living in the remotest corners of the state. Further, Ambani noted that the rollout of Jio’s ‘True 5G’ will be completed before the end of 2023 throughout India.
