
Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) reportedly plans to offer high speed data services on economically-priced tablets by end-2012.
Prior to this, RIL had planned to launch services by mid-2012 on data cards that could be plugged into computers and laptops. RIL?s services are expected to be based on 4G technology.
RIL plans to launch tablets priced at around Rs 3,500 and bundle them with data offerings.
The company will be launching services based on Qualcomm’s LTE technology, which is currently in a test phase.
