Reliance Communications (RCOM) has increased tariffs for 3G services by 26 per cent, reducing the benefits offered on existing 3G packs by up to 60 per cent. The operator has increased the tariffs for 1 GB of 3G data usage from Rs 123 to Rs 156. Further, customers will be able to avail of 400 MB of 3G data instead of 430 MB of data.

RCOM has also reduced the data usage limit for its high end 3G value packs priced at Rs 246 and Rs 492 from 2 GB to 1.5 GB and from 4 GB to 3 GB respectively.

Currently, RCOM offers 3G services in 13 circles covering over 333 towns. As of September 30, 2013, RCOM had 9.1 million 3G customers out of 116 million mobile subscribers on its network.
