Redmi India has partnered with Reliance Jio to conduct live 5G network trials for the upcoming Redmi K50i.
According to Redmi India, the phone was put through several scenarios during the trial to test the capability and performance of the smartphone yielding positive results. The trial also assessed the interoperability between Redmi India’s latest technology and Reliance Jio’s 5G network.
Further, the company added that the test outcomes will help make 5G a reality for customers and create a complete 5G experience. The Redmi K50i will be the first Redmi device to come equipped with 12 5G bands.
The company conducted its 5G trial in an out-of-lab setup and showed high upload and download speeds when tested for 4L streaming and cloud gaming scenarios requiring high-speed and low latency.
Redmi K50i is set to launch in India on July 20, 2022.
