Red Hat has appointed former Microsoft executive Navtez Singh Bal as vice president (VP) and general manager (GM) for India and South Asia, effective August 07, 2025.

According to the company, in his new position, Bal will oversee Red Hat’s business operations in the region with a focus on accelerated growth.

Bal brings over 25 years of industry experience, a proven record in driving transformative strategies, and a strong commitment to ensuring customer success. Prior to joining Red Hat, Bal served in several leadership capacities, including chief operating officer (COO) for India at Microsoft, senior partner at McKinsey India, and VP and GM for strategic business development at Internation Business Machines (IBM), covering India and South Asia.
