Domestic smartphone vendor, Reach Mobile has stated that it is planning to invest about Rs 1.50 billion in 2015-16 to expand its presence in the Indian handset market. Out of this, Rs 600 million will be spent on marketing and advertising encompassing all platforms like TV, Print, Radio, Outdoor, Digital and BTL initiatives at a national level. In addition, the company will spend Rs 900 million for the expansion of branches, infrastructure and manpower.

Reach Mobile is planning to sell 100,000 handsets per month in the April-June 2015 quarter. The company will expand its base to 500 towns and over 50,000 retailers in the country. It also plans to venture across international boundaries at Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) region.

Reach Mobile’s product portfolio comprises more than 50 models ranging from dual-SIM feature phones to 3G Android smartphones. The company is a part of the $one billion Rashmi Group.
