
Reliance Communications (RCOM) has signed a deal with Apple Inc wherein iPhone 5C and iPhone 5S will be available at subsidised rates. As per the deal, iPhone models supporting 16 GB will be available at a zero upfront cost and a monthly payment between Rs 2,599 (5C) and Rs 2,999 (5S). Without subsidies these models are prices at Rs 41,900 and Rs 53,500 respectively in the market.
Further, the 32GB version of handsets will come with an upfront fee of Rs 10,992 (5S) and Rs 11,600 (5C) in addition to the respective monthly charges. Furthermore, the 64GB models will be on offer for an upfront fee of Rs 19,992.
To avail the subsidised prices on iPhones, customers will have to stay on RCOM?s network for a period of two years, during which they can avail of free unlimited voice and data plans.
The operator has restricted the subsidy offer to credit card users to ensure that the subscribers do not dishonor the two-year contract by shifting to another operator.
