Reliance Communications (RCOM) has reportedly written to the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) requesting to renew its telecom licence for another 20 years.

The move is aimed at retaining its rights over spectrum and to keep running its enterprise business.

In response, the DoT has reportedly asked RCOM about its ownership details.

At present, RCOM is being run by a resolution professional (RP) Deloitte as part of a bankruptcy process under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC).
