Reliance Communications (RCOM) has posted its consolidated financial results for the quarter ended December 31, 2012.

The company?s revenue for the quarter stood at Rs 53.01 billion, a 5 per cent increase from Rs 50.55 billion in the third quarter of the previous year. Net Profit for the period under consideration was Rs 1.05 billion.

RCOM?s wireless revenue witnessed a 4.7 per cent year-on-year increase in the period under consideration and its wireless EBITDA for the third quarter also increased by 15 per cent year-on-year.

EBITDA was Rs 16.53 billion, a 2.4 per cent increase from Rs 16.14 billion in the third quarter of the previous year. According to the company, its EBITDA margin, at 31.2 per cent, is amongst the highest in the industry, and is owing to the performance of its wireless and global enterprise business unit (GEBU) businesses.

Revenue per minute stood at Re 0.44 and the revenues from its GEBU for the period under consideration was Rs 24.54 billion, a 4.4 per cent increase from Rs 23.52 billion in the third quarter of the previous year. GEBU EBIDTA stood at Rs 5.67 billion, a 0.4 per cent decline from Rs 5.69 billion in the third quarter of the previous year. EBITDA margins for the third quarter stands at 23.1 per cent.

RCOM continues to be free cash flow positive. The company generated operational cash flow (EBITDA) of Rs 16.53 billion in the third quarter. This is the second full year of positive free cash flow (FCF) for the company.
