Ravi Shankar Prasad, minister of electronics and information technology, will reportedly hold a meeting with chiefs of electronic manufacturing companies today to discuss concerns of the electronics industry and ensure a conducive policy environment. The meeting would focus on deliberating measures to boost growth and improve export prospects for the electronics manufacturing sector.

According to industry sources, heads of around 50 companies including Apple, HP, Dell, Samsung, Ericsson, Xiaomi, Lenovo, Foxconn, Intel, GE and Bosch are expected to attend the meeting.

Further, it will also be attended by the heads of industry associations such as the Consumer Electronics and Appliances Manufacturers Association (CEAMA), the Electronic Industries Association of India (ELCINA), the Indian Cellular and Electronics Association (ICEA) and the Manufacturers Association for Information Technology (MAIT).
