Ravi J Robert granted three-month extension as CMD of BSNL and MTNL -

The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has extended the tenure of Robert Jerard Ravi, interim chairman and managing director (CMD), Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) and Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL) for an additional three months, with effect from January 1, 2025, till April 14, 2025.

This extension has been approved by Jyotiraditya M Scindia, Union Minister of Communications and Development of North Eastern Region.

Earlier, in July 2024, Ravi was appointed to this role temporarily following the departure of PK Purwar.
