Tareq Amin, chief executive officer (CEO) of Rakuten Mobile and its subsidiary Rakuten Symphony, has resigned from this position with immediate effect. Meanwhile, Rakuten Symphony has appointed Mickey Mitani, chairman and CEO, Rakuten Mobile as its representative director, chairman and CEO with immediate effect.
Amin served as the representative director and co-CEO at Rakuten Mobile as well as at Rakuten Symphony. Sharat Sriwastawa, the current chief technology officer (CTO) at Rakuten Mobile will replace assume Amin as the new representative deirector and acting president of Rakuten Symphony. He will also continue his role as the CTO at Rakuten Mobile. Meanwhile, Kazuhiro Suzuki will continue as the other co-CEO at the company, as per the new management structure.
