RailTel Corporation of India announced that it has secured a significant order from the Ministry of Defence for the execution of optical fibre cable (OFC) laying work. The total value of the order stands at Rs 168.9 million.
As per the official statement, the project is slated for completion by March 17, 2026, giving RailTel just under a year to execute and deliver the required infrastructure. The announcement was formally made on March 20, 2025, after market hours.
