RailTel Corporation of India Limited (RailTel) has announced that it has received a work order worth Rs 2.64 billion (inclusive of tax) from East Central Railway for the deployment of the Kavach system, the indigenous train collision avoidance system (TCAS).

The contract involves implementing Kavach across 607 route kilometres of low-density railway tracks falling under the East Central Railway zone. The project is expected to be completed by July 14, 2027.

With this latest addition, RailTel’s total order value for July has crossed Rs 1.30 billion, marking a series of significant project acquisitions for the company this month.
