RailTel has completed the work of deploying Artificial Intelligence (AI) based Identification System for Capturing Attendance and Management of SDMIS (Student
Database Management Information System) for govt schools in Assam. RailTel has configured, customized and deployed this AI-based Identification System for
capturing attendance across all the Elementary, Secondary and Higher Secondary Schools in all 33 districts of Assam.
The total project value for RailTel is 192 million out of which Rs 120 million is a one-time cost being released post completion of the project. The cost for maintenance of the project is Rs 39.6 million per year with a scope of AMC for 2 years in the current scope of work. RailTel has successfully completed this project in 4 months. Axom Sarba Shiksha Abhijan Mission, Assam has been undertaking several reform initiatives for modernizing the education department through user-friendly digital reforms and extensive adoption of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) tools.
