Qualcomm has posted revenues of $6.12 billion for the quarter ended March 2013, a 24 per cent year-over-year increase and a 2 per cent increase on a sequential basis.
During this period, shipments of mobile station modems reached 173 million units, a 14 per cent increase over the previous year.
Meanwhile, the company?s operating profits increased by 24 per cent over the previous year, to $1.88 billion. Net profit, however, declined by 16 per cent to $1.87 billion while operating cash flow increased by 17 per cent to $2.22 billion.
Going forward, for the third quarter, the company has said that it expects substantial demand for its Snapdragon 600 and 800 processors as well as higher shipments in the overall mobile market. Full-year sales are expected to increase by 26-31 per cent to $24-25 billion.
