Qualcomm has posted revenues of $1.3 billion for the quarter ended June 2005, and a net income of $560 million. Increased demand for 3G mobile phone handsets helped it exceed market expectations. For the current quarter, Qualcomm expects revenues of $1.43 billion-$1.53 billion. However, it cut full-year estimates for phones based on WCDMA technology to 45 million from 50 million citing weaker-than-expected demand in Europe.
