PT Telkomsel predicts that its subscribe base will reach 35 million before the end of 2006

Indonesian operator PT Telkomsel has predicted that its subscribe base will reach 35 million before the end of 2006. The compa ny had already registered 26.5 million users till March 12, 2006 In 2005, PT Telkomsel’s subscriber base grew by 700,000 pe month to reach 24.5 million. Meanwhile, the cellular phone sub scribers of another operator, PT Indosat, are predicted to drop by 10 to 20 per cent following the Department of Communi cation and Information’s regulation requiring registration fo prepaid subscribers.
