Indonesia’s second largest telecommunications company, PT Indosat, plans to issue two bonds –? $200 million in dollars and Rp1.5 trillion in the local currency, rupiah. The request for proposal has been sent to four foreign and two local investment banks for selection as the bond underwriters.

The four foreign investment banks are Credit Suisse First Boston, Barclays Capital, Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan Securities and the local investment banks are PT Danareksa Sekuritas and PT Andalan Artha Advisindo Sekuritas. The rupiah bond will mature in six years and the dollar bond will mature in five years.
