Kochi based Prudent Technologies has joined the GSMA open gateway initiative to support the adoption of open telecom network application programming interfaces (APIs), including secure messaging, to strengthen global fraud prevention efforts.
The company said it will contribute its expertise in secure messaging infrastructure, authentication systems and telecom grade application programming interface integration to accelerate the adoption and commercial deployment of CAMARA compliant network services worldwide. This will include enabling capabilities such as secure number verification for digital onboarding, SIM swap detection to prevent identity fraud, network level authentication services, and secure enterprise messaging and communication workflows.
As per Prudent, it supports telecom operators and enterprises across Asia, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America, delivering secure messaging platforms, authentication systems and high-volume communication infrastructure.
The GSMA open gateway initiative, at present, has expanded to include 85 telecom operator groups representing more than 300 mobile networks and 81 per cent of global mobile connections. Further, the framework allows telecom operators to expose network capabilities through standardised application programming interfaces, simplifying enterprise integration while enhancing security and trust.
