At the virtual G20 Leaders’ Summit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has proposed to set up a social impact fund to implement digital public infrastructure (DPI) in countries of global south. He has announced an initial contribution of $25 million for developing DPI.
In his opening remarks, PM Modi noted that a DPI repository is ready and roughly more than 50 DPIs from 16 countries have been added to it.
He further highlighted the need to use technology in an utmost responsible manner.
