PowerGrid is reportedly planning to establish a pilot data centre on a substation site outside Delhi, in Manesar.
According to a Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) announcement, PowerGrid’s board approved a revised investment proposal for the establishment of a pilot data centre at the PowerGrid Manesar substation. The company said it would invest around Rs 7.14 billion ($86.9 million) in the project through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Powergrid Teleservices Limited.
