Portugal Telecom has appointed the company?s non-executive chairman, Henrique Granadiero as the new chief executive officer (CEO).

He will succeed Zeinal Bava who will be taking over as the CEO of the Brazil-based operator Oi.  Portugal Telecom holds a majority stake in Oi.

Further, Portugal Telecom has appointed Luis Pacheco de Melo, member, executive committee and the chief financial officer as vice-president of the company.
