Polycom India has been awarded a contract by Pakistan Telecommunications Company Limited (PTCL) to offer videoconferencing and content collaboration service for the latter?s customers. As part of this contract, PTCL will become a reseller of Polycom?s endpoints and managed services.
The service offered by Polycom is a cost-effective solution aimed at supporting corporate businesses and small and medium enterprises to tap in market opportunities while improving customer interactions. Polycom?s service will provide Pakistan-based companies the flexibility to deploy enterprise-grade video collaboration. The service offered will be on an annual subscription service model, where companies will be able to adjust their investment in video collaborations.
State-owned PTCL provides telephonic and Internet services nationwide. It manages and operates around 2,000 telephone exchanges across the country and offers services such as Global System for Mobile communications (GSM), Code division multiple access (CDMA), Broadband Internet and Internet Protocol television (IPTV).
