Paytm is planning to invest Rs 7.5 billion to extend its monthly active mobile user base from current 140 million to 250 million by March 2020. As per the company, Paytm Inbox service will be a key growth driver as it already has a base of 27 million monthly active users, and Paytm is expecting an additional 60-70 million new customers to come on board by end of current fiscal year.

Along with acquiring new customers, Paytm also plans to onboard new merchants in small cities and towns with the aim to enable 20 million retail merchants to accept digital payments through Paytm QR.

As per the company it is on its way to achieve over 3 billion sessions by users logging in to the application for payments and money transfers.
