Panasonic Corporation has appointed Manish Sharma as president and CEO of its India operations. He has also been appointed as an executive officer on the company’s 24-member team of top officials. Sharma is currently serving as MD of the company’s Indian subsidiary. In his new role, he will be responsible for building new businesses such as energy products and mobile phones in India. He joined Panasonic India in 2008 as marketing head and became MD in 2012. Meanwhile, Shigeto Yuasa, who was earlier head of operations of the company’s Taiwan unit, has been appointed MD for the India operations.
