Pakistan-based telecom operator Warid Telecom has reportedly deployed the country’s first solar-powered base transceiver station (BTS) using Huawei Technologies’ solar-powered macro base station.

Pakistan-based telecom operator Warid Telecom has reportedly deployed the country’s first solar-powered base transceiver station (BTS) using Huawei Technologies’ solar-powered macro base station. The latter’s solar-powered macro BTS allows Warid to extend the reach of its network to remote areas of the country that have limited access to the electricity grid.
