P Balaji, chief regulatory and corporate affairs officer of Vodafone Idea Limited (Vi), has resigned from his position, effective January 10, 2024. In a regulatory filing, Vi informed that Balaji resigned on January 2, 2024, and sought a waiver of the contractual notice period obligation.
Balaji has been associated with Vi for a decade, since he joined as director in October 2014. He was later appointed as the chief regulatory and corporate affairs officer at the company in September 2018. With over 30 years of experience in the telecom and IT sector, Balaji has served in leading telecom equipment companies including Ericsson India, Sony Mobile Communications India, and Nokia India. He has an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.
Balaji has now been appointed by Air India in the newly created role of group head of governance, regulatory, compliance and corporate affairs.
