How does Rosenberger Interconnect India’s mission align with the Government of India’s infrastructure growth plan, particularly with respect to the Digital India and Make in India initiatives?

We, at Rosenberger, have had a presence in India since 2006 and have been recognised as a reliable technology partner for leading brands in the telecommunications, automotive, data centre and enterprise, defence and aerospace industries. Rosenberger India has two manufacturing sites with over 1,000 people working for Rosenberger Interconnect India, which has production facilities covering an area of over 14,000 square metres.

Rosenberger Interconnect India supports the Indian government’s infrastructure growth goals by improving and developing connectivity technology in India, supporting the Digital India and Make in India initiatives.

Our extensive product portfolio includes connectors, components, accessories and cable assemblies, trusted by leading high-tech companies worldwide. From mobile communications to industrial measurement technology, automotive electronics to medical devices and beyond, Rosenberger products set the benchmark for precision and reliability.

With a focus on the development of innovative products that help in building extended relations with our customers, we offer customised solutions such as fibre-to-the-antenna/power-to-the-antenna, multi-fibre push on trunk cables, and low passive intermodulation coax transmission lines. Our portfolio also includes coax jumpers, installation materials and tools to enhance long-term operations.

To meet the current and future market requirements, our solutions are produced at our Goa manufacturing plant, which helps original equipment manufacturers and network operators achieve the best total cost of ownership, leading to better returns on investment.

What opportunities does India’s evolving 5G landscape present for Rosenberger? What have been the company’s key initiatives in the 5G domain?

With the deployment of 5G in India, our telecom solution segment experienced steady growth in fiscal year 2023. We anticipate this trend to persist in 2024, driven by government initiatives and support for local players’ radio designs. The increasing user numbers due to the adoption of 5G, coupled with a growing range of use cases, emphasises the need for improving data storage capacity in India, which would benefit our data centre solution segment. Furthermore, advancements in vehicle technology, such as advanced driver assistance systems and connected cars, are expected to contribute to a rising trend in the automotive segment due to 5G. As an organisation, we have aligned ourselves with our customers and enhanced our production capabilities to effectively support both current and future dynamic demand.

What kind of projects is the company working on in India? Are there any new projects/initiatives in the pipeline?

The growth and development of infrastructure poses another challenge. Addressing these challenges is essential for enhancing competitiveness and maximising the potential of manufacturing activities in the country.

What will be the company’s key priorities in the Indian market for the next two-three years?

Over the next two-three years, the company’s primary focus in the Indian market will be on indigenous development of components and products to support the Make in India initiative.
