Orange Business Services has been given the licence to provide national long distance (NLD) and international long distance (ILD) telephone services in Russia. Orange has invested more than $200 million on voice service infrastructure in Russia, including a next-generation multi-protocol label switching (MPLS)-based IP backbone. The company intends to launch NLD and ILD services for large and medium businesses by early 2008.
