Oracle has nominated former Infosys chief executive officer (CEO) Vishal Sikka to the board of directors.
Sikka comes with deep expertise in areas such as artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML). In his new role, Sikka will help Oracle enhance business value and adapt to change. Further, using his expertise in AI and ML, he will provide strategic vision and expert advice to the company and its customers.
Sikka had recently launched an AI based startup called Vianai Systems. Prior to this, Sikka served as a top executive at SAP and has held the position of CEO at Infosys.
