Optiemus Electronics Limited (OEL) has formed a partnership with TP-Link to produce networking equipment and smart home devices in India.

OEL will be responsible for manufacturing a variety of TP-Link’s telecom and Internet of Things (IoT) products, such as gigabit passive optical network (GPON) terminals, security cameras, home Wi-Fi routers, enterprise routers, modems, gateways, SOHO switches, and other network expansion equipment.

These products will be produced at OEL’s facility, which has the capacity to manufacture up to 6 million devices annually. OEL plans to establish a local supply chain to provide components like power adapters and mechanical parts for TP-Link, aiming to reduce reliance on imports and enhance supply chain management.

Further, production of Made-in-India TP-Link products is set to begin in February 2025, with finished items expected to be available in the domestic market by March 2025.
