Oppo is planning to open its second R&D centre in India. At present, Oppo has one R&D centre in Hyderabad and the second centre may be set up in Bengaluru.
The company has recently announced plans to invest $7 billion in research and development (R&D) globally in the next three years. The investment will be undertaken for the development of core technologies in hardware, software and system in addition to 5G/6G, artificial intelligence (AI), augmented reality (AR), big data and other emerging technologies.
India is an important market for Oppo. The company has witnessed a growth of over 60 per cent in India and is expecting higher growth by the year end.
