Oppo has appointed Alfa Wang as the president of its India operations effective March 1, 2023. In his new role, Wang will lead the company’s business strategy and strengthen Oppo’s commitment towards the ‘Make in India’ initiative.
Wang will succeed Elvis Zhou, who joined the company in 2020. Zhou will now transition to a global role as Oppo Overseas chief marketing officer (CMO) and will oversee brand building, product marketing, and the overall communication of Oppo’s business in overseas markets. Wang joined Oppo India in 2017 when he spearheaded the company’s manufacturing plans and successfully executed the ‘Make in India’ plan.
