The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has reportedly stated that operators need to take steps to completely eradicate unsolicited commercial calls and messages.
According to J.S. Sarma, chairman, TRAI, the regulator is currently conducting an audit of the steps being undertaken by operators in this regard. He added that TRAI has found that a few operators need to tighten the measures.
According to TRAI, commercial calls and messages originate from two sources, private telephones and from abroad.
