OneWeb launches 36 new satellites; sets up demonstration centers across various locations

Bharti-backed OneWeb has launched an additional 36 satellites from the Vostochny Cosmodrome, bringing the total in-orbit constellation to 358.

With this, OneWeb has deployed over half of its 648 low-earth orbit (LEO) satellites that will deliver high-speed, low-latency satellite broadband globally.

OneWeb has also begun live service demonstrations to showcase the capabilities and hardware of its satellite network across various applications.

As part of this initiative, OneWeb has opened demonstration centres at its headquarters in London and at the Westcott Venture Park Innovation Center in Buckinghamshire. The operator has also set up demo centres in the U.S. in Talkeetna, Alaska, and Germantown, Maryland.
