As per Counterpoint’s Market Monitor Service report 2019, OnePlus has become the top player in the Indian premium smartphone segment by securing a 33 per cent market share.
The contribution of OnePlus’ ultra-premium segment to the overall OnePlus portfolio grew from a meagre 2 per cent in 2018 to 25 per cent in 2019.
As per OnePlus, the predominant factor for its growing success is the effective pricing strategy of the company. The company has over 5 million users in India.
Overall, the premium smartphone segment in India registered its highest ever recorded shipments in 2019 with a growth of 29 per cent. Similarly, the ultra-premium segment (over Rs 45,000) emerged as the fastest-growing segment, with 63 per cent year-on-year growth.
