Oman Telecommunications Company (Omantel) has made an offer of $204 million to acquire 65 per cent stake in Pakistan-based telecom service provider Worldcall Telecom.

Oman Telecommunications Company (Omantel) has made an offer of $204 million to acquire 65 per cent stake in Pakistan-based telecom service provider Worldcall Telecom. Omantel intends to buy 60 per cent stake from the majority shareholders of Worldcall and 5 per cent from other shareholders through the securities market. According to Omantel, the move is expected to boost its revenues by 19-25 per cent in the medium term and increase net profits by 3-14 per cent.
